This course deals with the particular challenges of leading the firm at the senior executive level. Such challenges include development and implementation of corporate vision, values, and goals; organizational design and change management; working with a board of directors, shareholders and the media; and crisis management.
This course will provide students with the tools needed to help an organization cope with difficult economic times while also moving it forward in a dramatic fashion. In addition, students will learn important concepts that differentiate average organizations from those that are truly exceptional. These issues will be addressed through cases, class discussion and experiential group work. Active participation is encouraged, expected, and rewarded.
To the degree possible, we will have live or Skype involvement with one or two C-level guests.
