The overall purpose of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate Finance Club at the University of Pittsburgh is to inform its members of career opportunities, connect students to hands-on, real world finance work in investment banking, asset management, corporate finance and private equity sectors.
The executive team of the Katz Finance Club aims to connect students with the Executives In Residence, current leaders in organizations with firsthand knowledge on how to reach the top ranks in the business world through case by case preparation and mock interviews. Members of the Katz Finance Club are exposed to various opportunities for growth in the industry through various case competitions, guest speaker appearances, corporate visits to financial institutions, resume workshops, job recruitment workshops, finance electives, and many more.
With the help of the Career Management Center at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, the Finance Club hopes to create an experience-based learning environment for its members.
