FAQs

How do I know if I have Microsoft Teams installed on my computer?

You can type in Teams in the Windows search bar. Teams should be loaded on every Pitt Business-issued laptop over the last 2 years. If not, you can download and install it.

What will happen to my existing physical/desk phone?

It will be removed by IT when you are switched over to MS Teams

Can I dial a 5-digit campus extension like I do today?

Yes and no. The system will automatically complete the on campus number / extension you are dialing from the Directory.

What about Skype for Business?

We will no longer use Skype for Business for instant messaging, meetings or online presence – Teams will now serve in those roles.
